Sleep

Sleep is a funny thing, I've been told on many occasion that I talk in my sleep. I've actually woken myself up yelling god knows what, I have been the entertainment of many a friend who's seen me fall asleep.
and your point issssss? (you might be asking yourself)

Well there is a man in the UK who shares my plight. Except his wife actually blogs about what he say's, I swear I almost died of laughter.

here are a few quotes from the "Sleep Talkin' Man"

"Please just walk away. I don't want to have to stand here and say something so awesome that I'll have to remember it the rest of the day. Thank you!"

"Vegetarians will be the first to go. That's my plan. Vegans haven't got a hope. 'I eat air, I'm so healthy...' Bollocks!"

"Put the lobster down. Put it down!"

"Give me back my hands! Limb thief!"

[quite suddenly, upon waking] "Get the python!"

This sure makes me feel better about my own verbal sleepage.

Twas the season of giving

I know the season of giving has yet again come to a bitter sweet end, but as I was doing a little browsing on Etsy, I found a classic Faux suede linen filled journal. As soon as I saw it I immediately wished it was christmas all over again. Just think of all the inspiration I could sketch/write down in this lovely little thing?!? love at first sight.

say hello to my new (to me) 1914 3a Autographic folding pocket Kodak I found hanging around a antique store the other day, this little beauty is art work in it's self. I also swooped up a pair of mint condition 1940 vintage Charles Jourdan shades straight from Paris, which are sooo back in style may I add, for those of you who are as obsessed with fashion as I am.

Anywhoo take a look at my new gem!!

I'm so in love...

books

I have about a million books all tucked away in boxes. I've been wanting to get some bookshelves to put them all on, however I haven't been able to find just the right system..until now.

I found this picture online, great bookshelf idea! simple yet oh so charming, don't you think?

things i love

so I'm moving, have I said that yet??
well I am,
& I'm soo excited !
anywhooo, I've been wanting to reduce my carbon foot print, & have been researching ways to live greener

I found a store in San Fran called Branch this store believes in "that products should be made in the most environmentally-responsible way possible, and that the best way to promote this practice is to do it in the marketplace"

These are a few of my favorite things...

how gorgeous are these disposable plates?

Fuji Instax 200

I have a new addition to my camera family ! :D Let's welcome my new Fuji Instax 200, I can't even explain how much I heart this camera. Polaroid may be dead, but the art of instant film is not.

The best thing about this new Fuji Film is that it's not only better looking than Polaroid in color/contrast/saturation, it's also readily available and in current production. No crazy bid wars on eBay, though the thrill of the hunt, I admit, isssss inciting.

As soon as I got my hands on this beauty I was instantly addicted (get it? instant?) something about instant gratification puts a smile on my face.

So this week look for major post's, all Fuji Instax all the time !!

I've been missing my Film

The other day I shot a picture of some bird's flying out of the brush into a misty blue sky(simple) but touching. The photo was screaming hope, determination, joy, and deep thought. It wasn't until after a little editing work on my part that my photograph actually gave me all those wonderful feeling's... It was in that moment that I missed my Film. Don't get me wrong I LOVE my digital, but there is certain feeling that film brings to your subjects. Of course you can imitate it with a little editing, but being in an instant gratification sort of mood, so I ordered me a new Holgamod. I love these fun camera's! I had almost forgotten how much I really heart Film...

By the way, I probably ran to the door a total of 3 times while writing this blog hoping against hope that Mr. UPS man would be standing there waiting to hand me my new camera addition...

Am I saying Bye Bye to digital?? should I bust out the Nikon F5 again?? Hmmm, I think digital and film should just be friends don't you?

I'm sure there are those of who who can't believe the blasphemies that just came out of my mouth, Film and Digital FRIENDS?? I'm just sayin, can't we all just get along :D ?
